The short version
- There is no account and no sign-up. You are never asked for your email address or any personal detail.
- The app talks to no server of ours. We run nothing that your game data could be sent to.
- Ads and the one-time purchase are the only things it sends anywhere. The purchase also ends the ads that interrupt play.
- Your game is saved on your phone. There is no cloud save and no backup we hold.
- No analytics of our own. We do not track how you play.
What is stored on your device
Everything the game knows: your character's name and look, your progress through the story and the side stories, the city you are in, your needs and watts, and your settings for sound, screen margin and free will. It also remembers whether this device has the Full Game unlocked.
All of it sits in the app's own storage on the phone. None of it is uploaded. A save that never leaves the phone cannot leak, but it also cannot follow you to a new one.
You can delete the save yourself from Settings → Delete saved game. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
What leaves your device
Two things, both tied to how the game pays for itself rather than to you.
| Goes to | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Your device's advertising ID, an approximate location derived from your IP address, how you interact with ads, and standard device and diagnostic information. | To show and count the ads that pay for the game, and to prevent ad fraud. Governed by Google's privacy policy. |
| Google Play billing, via RevenueCat | Whether this Play account has bought the Full Game, and an anonymous purchase identifier that RevenueCat generates itself. | To unlock the purchase and restore it on a new device. We never see your card, your billing address or any payment details. Google handles the transaction. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. |
That table is the complete list. Nothing else is transmitted, and there is no third destination: no server of ours, no analytics service of our own, no font network. The game's 3D models, music, voices and typefaces all ship inside the app.
Ads, and what you can do about them
Two kinds of ad appear, and they behave differently. In the game both are called TOPON broadcasts.
- In the free version, a short ad appears occasionally at a natural break, such as waking up or arriving in a city. Never in the first 15 minutes of a session, and at most one every 12 minutes. Buying the Full Game ends these permanently.
- A longer ad is always optional. The game offers it at moments when it can help, for example when you are short of watts, and you choose whether to watch in exchange for something in the game. It is never forced on you, is limited to 12 a day, and stays available after you buy the Full Game in case you ever want it.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the app shows you Google's consent form before it requests a single ad. You can change your answer later from Settings → Ad privacy choices.
Anywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID at Settings → Google → Ads on your phone, which stops ads being personalised.
The one-time purchase
The Full Game is a single payment, not a subscription, and it is the only thing the game offers to sell you. It unlocks Acts III to V of the story and removes the ads that interrupt play. The first two acts, all eight cities, your home and the side stories are free.
The transaction happens entirely inside Google Play. We receive only the fact that the purchase is active, through RevenueCat, which keeps that answer correct across reinstalls and new devices. If you reinstall, use Restore purchase on the Full Game screen.
Some players, such as reviewers and testers, receive a code that unlocks the Full Game. The code is checked on the device itself and nothing about it is sent anywhere.
What is never collected
- Your email address, phone number, postal address or contacts.
- Your precise location. The app does not ask for a location permission.
- Your photos, files, microphone or camera. The app does not request those permissions. Besides internet access, Google Play billing and the advertising ID, the only permissions in it are network-state and wake-lock permissions that Google's own libraries declare.
- Anything you type in the game. The character name you choose stays on your device and is never shown to anyone else.
- Payment details of any kind.
Your choices and rights
- Delete everything: uninstall the app. Everything is on the device, so there is nothing held on our side to delete, and nothing for us to send you if you ask for a copy.
- Delete just the save: Settings → Delete saved game.
- Reset the advertising side: Settings → Google → Ads on your phone.
- Withdraw ad consent in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland: Settings → Ad privacy choices in the game.
- If you are in the EEA, the UK, California or another region with statutory data rights, write to us and we will respond within 30 days, although in practice we hold nothing about you.
Children
Earth 2035 is a life simulation with a political story about an AI that runs the power grid. It is made for players aged 16 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them, and the app is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above, and a material change will be announced in the game before it takes effect. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the revised policy.
