Doctrine

Effective 13 October 2026 · Developer: Syndicates BOO Studio, Agiou Georgiou 40, Syros, Greece · Covers the Android app com.ipassas.doctrine on Google Play

The short version

  • There is no account and no sign-up. You are never asked for your name, email address or any personal detail.
  • The app talks to no server of ours. We run nothing that your game data could be sent to.
  • Ads are the only thing it sends anywhere, and a one-time purchase ends them.
  • Your runs are saved on your phone. There is no cloud save and no backup we hold.
  • There is no leaderboard. Your records stay on your device and are never published.
  • No analytics. Nothing reports back on how you play.

What is stored on your device

Everything the game knows: your current run and its autosave, your records of finished runs and the classes you have unlocked, your display and sound settings, and whether you have bought the Full Game. All of it sits in the app's own storage on the phone.

None of it is uploaded. There is no cloud copy and no account to attach one to. A save that never leaves the phone cannot leak, but it also cannot follow you to a new one — so back up your device if a run matters to you.

You can end and delete the current run yourself from Menu → Abandon Run. Uninstalling the app removes everything.

What leaves your device

Two things, both tied to money rather than to you.

Goes toWhatWhy
Google AdMob Your device's advertising ID, an approximate country-level location derived from your IP address, and standard device information. To show and count the ads that pay for the game. Governed by Google's privacy policy.
Google Play billing, via RevenueCat Whether this Play account has bought The Full Game, and an anonymous purchase identifier that RevenueCat generates itself. To honour the purchase and restore it on a new device. We never see your card, your billing address or any payment credential — Google handles the transaction. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

That table is the complete list. Nothing else is transmitted, and there is no third destination — no server of ours, no analytics service, no content delivery network. The game's map, writing, artwork and typefaces all ship inside the app.

Ads, and what you can do about them

Three kinds of ad can appear, and they behave differently:

  • A short ad shows between runs, before the results screen — never during a run, never after your first finished run or a run shorter than a month of game time, and at most once every three minutes.
  • A banner sits on the results screen.
  • A longer video is always optional: you tap a button asking for it, in exchange for extra Influence when you are short, or a second chance after a defeat. It is never forced on you.

Buying The Full Game removes the first two permanently and gives you the optional bonuses without the video.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, the app shows you Google's consent form before it requests a single ad, and no ad loads until you have answered it. You can change that answer at any time from Settings → Ad Privacy Choices.

Anywhere. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at Settings → Google → Ads on your phone, which stops ads being personalised.

Ads served in this game are capped at Google's Teen content rating. Doctrine is a strategy game about fictional political movements, and Teen is the honest bracket for what belongs beside it. The app is not marked as directed at children and does not use Google's under-age-of-consent treatment.

The one-time purchase

The Full Game is a single payment, not a subscription, and it is the only thing the game offers to sell you. It removes the ads between runs and on the results screen, unlocks double and triple speed, and unlocks the Anarchism class. No run is made easier: the optional bonuses are the same for everyone.

The transaction happens entirely inside Google Play. We receive only the fact that the entitlement is active, through RevenueCat, which keeps that answer correct across reinstalls and new devices. If you reinstall, use Settings → Restore Purchase.

What is never collected

  • Your name, email address, phone number, postal address or contacts.
  • Your precise location. The app does not ask for a location permission.
  • Your photos, files, microphone or camera. The app does not request those permissions — the ones it declares are internet and network-state access, Google Play billing, the advertising ID, and vibration for haptic feedback.
  • Anything you type in the game. The movement name you choose stays on your device and is never shown to anyone else.
  • Analytics or telemetry of any kind. The app contains no analytics library.
  • Payment details of any kind.

Your choices and rights

  • Delete everything: uninstall the app. Everything is on the device, so there is nothing held on our side to delete — and nothing for us to send you if you ask for a copy, because we have never had any of it.
  • Delete the current run: Menu → Abandon Run.
  • Reset the advertising side: Settings → Google → Ads on your phone.
  • Withdraw or change ad consent in the EEA or the UK: Settings → Ad Privacy Choices in the game.
  • If you are in the EEA, the UK, California or another region with statutory data rights, write to us and we will respond within 30 days — though in practice the answer is that we hold nothing about you.

Children

Doctrine is a strategy game about fictional political movements, with themes of unrest, takeovers and suppression shown as numbers on a map. It is written for teenagers and adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them, and the app is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above, and a material change will be announced in the game before it takes effect. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the revised policy.
