How a case works
Mystery Doku is a logic puzzle in the Murdoku tradition. It works like sudoku with people in it: every row and every column of the floor plan holds exactly one person.
Each witness gives you a statement, such as "She was sitting on the bench, beside the dinosaur skeleton" or "He was north of Bruno". You place everyone on the floor plan one at a time. Once they are all in, the person who was alone with the victim is the murderer.
There are 675 cases. Each one has been proven to have exactly one solution, and you can solve every one by logic alone, without guessing.
The cases happen in 27 places, each with its own rooms, furniture and cast. They include a natural history museum full of dinosaur skeletons, a hospital on the night shift, Blackrock Prison, a haunted mansion, a Christmas chalet, a TV studio, a Japanese inn, a fashion boutique and a police station.
The characters walk to wherever you put them. When you solve a case, the crime scene plays out on the board and you see how it happened.
There are five levels, from Rookie on a 5×5 house to Mastermind on a 9×9 mansion with nine suspects, and each case gives up to three stars. You can cross out squares, write notes and undo as far back as you like. If you get stuck, a hint puts one suspect in the right place.
What's free
The first three cases of every level are free. You can open more by watching a short video, and ads never interrupt a case. A one-time Full Game purchase opens every case, removes the ads and gives you unlimited hints. It also unlocks the Case Workshop, where you build your own proven mysteries and share them with friends as a code.
The game plays offline and you don't need an account. It runs on phones and tablets, in portrait or landscape, in English, Greek, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.
