Your political career
Your first race is for a county seat, and nobody has heard of you. Each year you choose a few actions, and then the year happens to you. Some players make it to the Oval Office. Far more end up as state senators nobody remembers, or die before they get anywhere.
Before you file for a race, the game shows you what's helping you and what's hurting: your war chest, the national mood, name recognition, how the debate went. Then it tells you your actual chance of winning.
There are six career paths and eight steps on the ladder, and you can't skip any of them. If you want to run for something bigger, you have to put the seat you already hold on the line.
Away from politics you've got a partner, kids, friends, enemies and money to invest or lose. Rivals can be handled in several ways, a few of them legal. When you die you get to read your obituary, and if you had children you can carry on as one of them.
It's satire and it's meant to be funny. It has nothing to do with any real party, candidate or government.

In the way it plays, yes: one life, a year at a time, with a family, money and the odd disaster. The difference is that the whole life is built around a political career, and every election shows you your real odds before you run. It isn't connected to BitLife or the people who make it.
Does it work offline?
