The family business
It's 1925. You've got one loyal soldier, a corner of the Slums and twelve years to reach the Commission Tower, and the way you get there decides which ending you get.
Every job hits a real building in one of ten districts, from the corner store up to the city bank. You pick the target and the method, put your crew on it and split their effort over three phases. Some plans go perfectly. Others fall apart, and the debrief tells you why.
Your crew needs paying and looking after. Stressed soldiers make mistakes and unpaid ones walk out. Rackets such as loan sharking or an underground casino bring in steady money, but they also get the police interested. The game calls that heat, and if you let it climb too high you get raided.
A full run takes two to three hours and ends with a newspaper front page. There are 40 different endings to collect. You can save anywhere, and the whole game works offline.
